Shop Tip 15

Is there anything that I can do to prevent my premium from increasing? There are many actions with little or no cost that can be done. Tip 15 – Slips & Trips again!!!! You will recall from previous mails, (Tip 1 & Tip 2), that we addressed this topic previously. Frankly I am tempted to address it in every mailing due to the fact that it is the single most frequent and costly claim by some considerable distance. I have drafted a Shop Hazard Record on a single page for your use. You can download this simple Word document, (see link below), edit it to suite your own times and plans then print it off for weekly use. This will help you to have some defense in the event of a slip or trip. Please do this. It will help you!! Another thought struck me that will definitely be a real benefit. Draft a simple but prominent sign at your shop entrance saying β€œIN THE INTEREST OF YOUR PERSONAL SAFETY PLEASE WIPE YOUR FEET THOROUGHLY ON THE MAT PROVIDED.” Check that your mat is suitable for its purpose and when erecting your sign, avoid it creating a trip hazard. Once again folks, we are asking you to engage as a group and participate in a combined effort to take actions that will help to avoid accidents, thereby preventing some claims thereby making it difficult for your insurers to justify premium increases! Always remember – call us to discuss any/every incident. We will advise and guide you. Shop Tips 15 Hazard Monitor Check ListShop Tips 15 Hazard Monitor Record
