This will help you to have some defense in the event of a slip or trip. Please do this. It will help you!! Another thought struck me that will definitely be a real benefit. Draft a simple but prominent sign at your shop entrance saying “IN THE INTEREST OF YOUR PERSONAL SAFETY PLEASE WIPE YOUR FEET THOROUGHLY ON THE MAT PROVIDED.” Check that your mat is suitable for its purpose and when erecting your sign, avoid it creating a trip hazard.
