Tip 25 – Revenue Audits
The frequency of revenue audits has reached record levels and hence the claims for accountant’s fees have done likewise. There is however a more serious problem here that I need to draw to your attention. The fees being charged by retailer’s accountants are often higher than is reasonable and many times without justification, when there is an insurer involved.

This has lead to crises talks with insurers to offset their desire to modify their policy cover to exclude this benefit in its entirety. I need your help! In the event that you are notified of a revenue audit I would ask you to please call me immediately. It is vital that we work together to prevent insurers from withdrawing this critically important cover and I will advise you how this can be achieved.

Service Station operators please take note that Revenue are in the process of auditing every site across the country on the grounds that they are attempting to identify operators engaged in selling washed/laundered diesel.
