I would be completely inappropriate for me to pass judgement on the level of such an award which was handed down by a High Court judge against a major supermarket.   The nature of the injuries described by the judge was summarised when he stated she had suffered permanent back and bladder injuries rendering her “grossly disabled in all aspects of her life”.   What can we do to avoid such incidents in our premises?
