Is there anything that I can do to prevent my premium from increasing?

 There are many actions with little or no cost that can be done.

 Tip 6 – Cash in Safe

 Do you keep Cash on Premises after business hours? Do you have a Safe?

 Normal Cash Insurance Limits for Cash not held in a Safe are very low. (Usually around €500. Your ShoProtect Limit is higher at €1,500 but it is still a small sum.)

 The Make and Model of your safe or the Euro Grade rating, (introduced in the mid 1990’s), will determine the cash rating assigned to it by insurers.

Your policy states that you will only be insured for the amount that is determined as the Approved Cash Rating for your safe, regardless of whether your Policy Schedule states a higher amount..

If you are uncertain about your safe, please advise the Make and Model of your safe or the Make and Euro Grade rating of your safe and we will confirm the cash rating that applies to it.

There will be cases where higher limits can be provided where other quality security measures have been factored in by and agreed with insurers on a case by case basis.

Please also be aware that your Policy Requires that the keys of your safe must be removed from the premises after the shop has closed for business.
